Frequently asked questions

What is PAYWAYS?

PAYWAYS is payment middleware — a “gateway of gateways.” You integrate once (REST API, SDK, an embeddable script, or an MCP server) and reach 255+ payment gateways, invoicing engines, wallets and bank rails worldwide.

How is the pricing different?

PAYWAYS charges a flat monthly SaaS fee (from ~$3/month) and NEVER takes a percentage of your sales. Incumbent gateways and orchestrators skim 1–7% of volume; PAYWAYS does not touch the money.

Do you hold my money or need a payment license?

No. Money always flows through your OWN licensed acquirer, so PAYWAYS needs no money-transmitter/PSP/EMI license. Card numbers never touch your servers or ours — the setup is PCI-DSS SAQ-A.

Which gateways and payment methods are supported?

255+ international gateways plus local rails: Pix (Brazil), iDEAL/Wero (NL/DE), BLIK (Poland), Bizum (Spain), QRIS (Indonesia), UPI (India), PayNow (Singapore), PayTo (Australia), Bit (Israel), cards, wallets, bank transfers and invoicing.

Can I switch providers without re-integrating?

Yes — that is the core benefit. Your store integration never changes; routing decisions live on our side, so you switch or add acquirers with a click, not a rewrite.

Is PAYWAYS usable by AI agents?

Yes. PAYWAYS ships an MCP server, so any AI agent can connect once and create payments, compare pricing and check status as tool calls — it is AI-agent-native by architecture.
